Cup Cake Cupdate

Haven't done one of these in a while, a blog post OR a CupDate!!!

These cups are actually from a couple months back, I took their picture, and put 'em in the bank for a while!!! Now, they're back and here for your enjoyment!!! I did these around the same time I did the other Portal themed ones.

First up is the weighted companion cube. This plays a part in the game, and you are supposed to form an emotional bond with it, ala Wilson in Castaway. This makes the part of the game where you need to incinerate it that much more painful.

The second cup features the cake, which is promised as a reward throughout the game. Turns out the cake is a lie.

For a game I've never played, I know quite a bit about Portal!!!

But there's no use crying over every mistake,
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake...

Glad to see you're back to posting Updates.
Cookies, Cake, Cupcakes, Donuts, and even toasted raisen bagles with cinnamon are sweet treats indeed.
One should never forget, if cake is not your thing, there is always PIE.
As for Wilson in Castaway...well, the story continued. The movie didn't show what happened to Wilson other than it was lost at sea. Actualy, in the real story, Tom Hanks and Wilson are reunited. So happens that Wilson was rescued by a good looking Hawiian on board the fishing troller, "The Garbage Warrior". Wilson then becomes a symbol of a new movement that focus is cleaning up the oceans. "Trash to treasure" became the moto heard round the planet. ;)

My wife actually made some coffee cake the other day. Not real sweet, but nice and heavy and filling. I swear, it tastes like there's some oatmeal oats in it!!!

Funny you should mention pie, my older boy (the only one of our clan who's actually played the game) has modified the line "the cake is a lie" from it to "The cake is a pie"!!!

I like your continuation of Wilson's travels!!!

That song is sung during the closing credits of the game, actually was an award winner, and it's sung by GLaDOS, the antagonist of the game. I think she's bipolar. For something really amusing, look up the ingredients for the portal cake!!! No, never mind, I'm going to paste 'em right here!!!

Four large eggs.
One cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
3/4 cups butter or margarine.
1 2/3 cups granulated sugar.
Two cups all purpose flower. (note, it says flower, not flour)

Don't forget garnishes such as:

Fish shaped crackers.
Fish shaped candies.
Fish shaped solid waste.
Fish shaped dirt.
Fish shaped ethyl benzene.
Pull and peel licorice.
Fish shaped organic compounrs and sediment shaped sediment.
Candy coated peanut butter pieces. Shaped like fish.
